Tips for visiting the ranch!

Hey Everyone,

Cross E Ranch is an amazing place to get a little slice of farm life! We have animals, food and fun! We hope you will come and feel at home on our little ranch. We’d like to share a few things we’ve observed over the years that help people get the most out of their visit.

Here’s the list:

  • Wear jeans, sturdy comfortable shoes, and dress for the weather. Wear clothes you can get dirty and not care.

  • Strollers are a problem on the gravel. The bigger the tire, the better. Jogging strollers work great. Little umbrella strollers will not work at all.

  • Wagons work great if they have bigger sturdy wheels. Some of the new wagons have stroller wheels and do not work.

  • Baby packs work great for infants!

  • The farm is not very wheelchair friendly. However, we have had lots of people in wheelchairs come and enjoy the farm.  Please call ahead and we can help with dropping off, picking up and riding the hayrides. Just like the strollers…bigger tires work better.

  • Our busiest times are Friday afternoons & Saturdays. Some people like a crowd and some do not…plan accordingly.

  • If you have school age kids, cooler days are great days to visit, and the crowds are minimal. Young kids and teenagers don’t seem to care much about the weather. Toddlers/preschoolers seem to struggle more in the cold.

  • If you have any problems while at our ranch, please ask one of our amazing staff for help.

  • Check our website for weather updates.  If we are having bad weather at the farm we will put it on the website. Cold doesn’t count for bad weather. Heavy rain or strong winds are the reasons we occasionally close.

  • We make & serve amazing food at the farm!  We also allow you bring in your own food.

  • Buy your tickets online. This probably helps us more than you but, it helps us know how many people will be attending and we can limit the number of guests we allow at the ranch. If we sell out, we won’t sell any more tickets at the gate.

We work hard to give you a great experience at the ranch. We hope your time at Cross E Ranch will create memories and connections with friends and family that will last a lifetime.
